What MPG Does the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid Get in the Real World?
The Subaru Forester offers a new hybrid powertrain for 2025 that’s rated at 35 mpg combined, which is slightly less than the 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid’s 39 mpg rating and the 2025 Honda CR-V hybrid’s 37 mpg. But what kind of gas mileage does this compact SUV get in the real world? Come with us as Senior Road Test Editor Mike Hanley takes the Forester Hybrid on Cars.com’s real-world fuel-economy route, which is roughly 200 miles and covers suburban stop-and-go traffic, interstates and rural two-lane roads. In the video, he reports on observed fuel economy at stops along the way, as well as the Forester Hybrid’s gas mileage at the end of the trip.
