New 2025 Subaru Forester Pricing and Options
The Subaru Forester’s 2025 range is seeing notable increases in prices across all models, following a comprehensive redesign. The starting price for the base model of the Forester is now set at $31,090, marking a $2,650 increase from its predecessor. The price adjustments are not isolated to the entry-level model, as all other versions will see similar increments in their cost once they hit the market this spring.
Subaru is also hinting at the introduction of a hybrid engine option for the Forester next year. Until then, each Forester will come equipped with an updated 2.5-liter boxer engine, capable of delivering 180 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, the feature of all-wheel drive continues to be standard across the board. The Premium model, which sits just above the base Forester, is now priced at $33,390, up by $2,000 from its previous tag. Following this, the Sport and Limited editions are tagged at $35,890 and $37,390, respectively, experiencing price hikes of $2,930 and $2,315. The Touring model, which is the most luxurious option in the lineup, now starts at $41,390 due to a $2,900 increase, marking it as the first Forester model to surpass the $40,000 threshold before any additional options are factored in.
In terms of added features, the Premium trim is available with a package priced at $1,200, which includes a power rear liftgate, a blind-spot monitor, and a rear cross-traffic alert system. The Sport model can be enhanced with an 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a power rear liftgate, rear automated emergency braking, and several additional driving modes for an extra $1,700. Similarly, the Limited version can be equipped with a package costing $1,600, offering built-in TomTom navigation among other features.
Subaru has also mentioned that the current Forester Wilderness model will remain on sale alongside the new 2025 models, with a starting price of $36,265. While a future update for the Wilderness variant is anticipated, specifics remain under wraps for now.
