2026 Honda Prelude Walkaround | Japan Mobility Show 2025 | OVERDRIVE#OVERDRIVE
We take a closer look at the 2026 Honda Prelude, showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. This marks the first time the Prelude combines Honda’s two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain with the performance chassis hardware from the Civic Type R.
The Prelude uses a 2.0L Atkinson-cycle petrol engine paired with two electric motors, producing 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. It also introduces the new S+ Shift system, which simulates downshifts and enhances driver feedback.
Key highlights include Brembo brakes, adaptive dampers, 19-inch wheels, leather-trimmed sport seats, and the Honda Sensing safety suite. Scheduled to go on sale later this fall, the Prelude will be offered in a single, fully equipped trim.
