New 2025 Suzuki Solio Bandit – Best Hybrid Small City MPV Facelift
Suzuki has introduced the facelifted Solio Bandit in Japan, featuring refreshed styling and enhanced features for its small minivan range. These updates bring a more modern look and upgraded equipment, improving both the vehicle’s aesthetics and functionality.
The current generation of the Suzuki Solio Bandit debuted in November 2020, making this mid-lifecycle update a timely refresh. The main focus of the changes is the redesigned front end, which gives the minivan a more modern appearance. Meanwhile, the profile and rear sections remain mostly unchanged, maintaining the familiar silhouette of the model.
The facelifted Suzuki Solio Bandit features a front grille with vertical inserts, giving it a more distinctive and modern appearance. The “youth” version of the minivan also boasts newly designed fog lights, further enhancing its stylish appeal. Additionally, the body color options have been expanded, offering more variety for customers to choose from and allowing for a more personalized look.
Finally, the Suzuki Solio Bandit keeps its signature split headlight design, which is now complemented by a larger and more prominent bumper. This updated front-end styling gives the vehicle a bolder and more dynamic look, while maintaining its recognizable design language.
For the 2025 model year, the cabin of the Suzuki Solio Bandit sees only minimal changes. However, there are notable upgrades, including an expanded range of driver assistance features, an enhanced Suzuki Connect offering, and the addition of an electric parking brake for improved convenience and safety. These updates help modernize the interior while maintaining the vehicle’s practicality.
The previous naturally aspirated 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine (K12C) in the Suzuki Solio Bandit has been replaced with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated three-cylinder Z12E engine, which is also used in the new Suzuki Swift. The new engine produces 82 horsepower and 102 Nm of torque, compared to the 91 horsepower and 118 Nm of torque offered by the outgoing four-cylinder engine. Although the new engine has slightly lower output, it aims to provide improved efficiency and a more compact design.
The Suzuki Solio Bandit is available exclusively with a CVT gearbox, offering buyers the option to choose between two wheel drive and four Wheel Drive configurations. This flexibility allows customers to select the drivetrain that best suits their driving needs and preferences.
The price of the restyled Suzuki Solio Bandit starts at 2,303,400 yen, offering a refreshed design and upgraded features at a competitive price point for those seeking a practical and stylish compact minivan.
