We finally get behind the wheel of what could be Subaru’s most pivotal model in the coming years — the 2025 Forester Hybrid. Visually, it stays close to the standard Forester, though it introduces subtle hybrid-specific details, including updated badging and trim accents. The design strikes a familiar silhouette, and while there’s a hint of Ford Explorer in the rear view, the upright proportions and broad stance give it a confident, rugged presence. Like all Forester models, all-wheel drive comes standard, and the top trim adds a contrasting black roof for a more upscale touch. Under the hood, the new hybrid setup pairs Subaru’s 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder with a parallel hybrid system featuring two electric motors and a 1.1-kWh lithium-ion battery integrated into the transmission.
