Subaru Forester Hybrid 2025 review: Early test shows new Toyota RAV4 rival should be taken seriously
The 2025 Subaru Forester has been a long time coming for the Japanese car brand. You see, the previous-generation model had a hybrid powertrain option, the only problem was it only offered electric-only driving at very, very low speeds, so its improved fuel efficiency was negligible at best, making it a hard sell.
The new Forester is changing the game, though, with a ‘strong hybrid’ replacement that’s more akin to the best-selling Toyota RAV4, meaning buyers should be able to fully reap the benefits of petrol-electric motoring, including silent, smooth acceleration (at least part-time) and much lower real-world consumption.
