Turning On and Off Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) | Toyota
This Quick Reference Guide will provide a clear definition and step by step details on how to turn on and off the Lane Tracing Assist System.
The TSS Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) System is designed to work when the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) and Lane Departure Alert (LDA) are both on and active. LTA is designed to keep the vehicle centered in its visibly marked lane and preemptively avoid unintended lane departures. LTA is designed for use on relatively straight highways.
LTA uses a forward-facing camera to monitor lane markings – as well as the path of the vehicle ahead, if needed – and is designed to automatically make constant steering inputs to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane. LTA does require the driver’s hands to remain on the steering wheel.
LTA is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness is dependent on many factors including road, weather and vehicle conditions. See Owner’s Manual for additional limitations and details.
Although demonstrated on the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, this feature is available on various other Toyota models. See owner’s manual for model specific guidelines and limitations.
