Toyota Corolla Cross AWD Diagonal Test in the Snow: Not bad but…

Toyota Corolla Cross AWD Diagonal Test note: There is no driving mode. At slow speed, the AWD will help you get unstuck, but at over 40-50 kph, we have the feeling that nothing is powering the rear wheels! Also note that the car will get stuck if you turn TCS off because only 2 wheels will receive power depending on the situation, and it’s not those with more traction that will spin! If you are rolling in a snowstorm over a certain speed, this car will feel like a FWD regular Corolla. There should be an offroad mode similar to the X-mode in the Subaru Crosstrek. I know it’s full of snow and not the same as on tarmac, but it’s still cool to watch and you see how it works 🙂

Remember how popular was the Toyota Matrix? Well, it’s kind of back but with a Corolla name! It’s called the Toyota Corolla Cross! Corolla Cross hits the sweet spot with the engaging driving experience of a small car and the functionality of a larger crossover. The Corolla Cross slots into the Toyota SUV lineup between the smaller C-HR and the larger RAV4 and will fight for its place among big competitors like the Subaru Crosstrek! Available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), the compact SUV maximizes the inherent potential of the high-strength TNGA-C platform and a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter Dynamic Force Engine. For those who choose AWD, Toyota’s clever Dynamic Torque Control system directs up to 50% of power to the rear wheels when it’s needed – and disengages completely when it’s not. One thing is sure, you won’t get major excitement behind the wheel but this is one bulletproof and most reliable crossover on the market made by Toyota! And yes there will be a Toyota All New Corolla Cross Hybride soon here!

So check out our Toyota Corolla Cross AWD Diagonal Test in the Snow and why it’s not bad with TCS ON!
