Toyota GR Corolla Morizo DROPS REAR SEATS, Gets More Torque!

The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition reveal took place today and I took a ride in it at Eagles Canyon Raceway! The GR Corolla Morizo is a more track-focused version of this hot hatch. It drops 100 pounds as compared to the Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition and it does that by dropping the rear seats – it also gets forged 18-inch alloy wheels. Power for the Toyota Corolla GR Morizo Edition still comes from a 3-cylinder turbocharged engine making 300-hp – however, torque has been bumped from 273 to 295 lb-ft of torque.

The 2023 GR Corolla is one of the most exciting cars of 2022 and the new GR Corolla Morizo get a little wild. Again, the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition Interior has no rear seats. Toyota also got rid of the rear speakers and the rear window operation along with the rear wiper blade and motor. What does Morizo mean? Well, that is the racing name under which Toyota President Akio Toyoda races under. He was very involved with the making of the Toyota Corolla GR and this special edition model honors him. There will only be 200 units of the Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition that will enter production this year. The release date is scheduled for early next year.
