Lexus NX 450h PHEV Walkaround

Welcome everyone to my walk around review of the new Lexus NX 450h PHEV.
This is Lexus’s first plug-in hybrid.

The weather and poor light made the driving part of the review unwatchable so will aim to review the NX fully soon…..

Lexus have always been known for their self-charging hybrids and have now ventured into the plug-in hybrid world.
This is due to the fact that this new NX is based on the latest generation RAV4 Plug-in, so was only logical to do the same with the NX.

3 trim levels are available in the new NX range:
NX
F – Sport
Takumi
F-Sport is the car I am looking at here and is my spec of choice. You can add a Takumi Pack to the car along with a sunroof as an separate option.

Power comes from a 2.5L Petrol engine, and in conjunction with the Battery & motor, produces 306 bhp. 0-62 mph is taken care of in 6.3 secs.
However the big figure you’ll be impressed with is 45 miles. That’s the range of drive purely in Electric mode. Hugely impressive in the new NX and will appeal to new buyers.

Mpg is over 300 from what Lexus claim but that will be a hard task to master.
