The 2021 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is Toyota’s latest subcompact crossover that sports a hybrid engine. This Corolla Cross was manufactured in Thailand, and is meant to go between the smaller Toyota CHR and the larger Toyota Rav4. The Philippines gets two variants, the top-spec Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid in my review and the base variant, a gas only Toyota Corolla Cross G. In this Filipino car review, I show you the features of the Corolla Cross 1.8 V hybrid, and then take it out for a short drive around the Toyota Valenzuela complex. The drive impression is more like an initial drive impression only, since there is no demo unit available yet.
The Corolla Cross is taken from the Corolla Altis, but even if it was derived from the sedan, The 2020 Corolla Cross Hybrid looks more like the Toyota Rav4 than the smaller Corolla Altis.
